This is a procedure under British law that allows a local community to take on the ownership or management of publicly owned buildings or land, at less than market rates, for the purposes of promoting social, economic and environmental well-being, the councils preferred option is for these C,A,T`s - is for these properties to go to not for profit charity’s, thus; ensuring that a public asset is not transferred to personal wealth! This is why we have worked hard to establish a constitution and board of trustees, in order to apply for charitable status.
